This splendid country residence was built around 1630 by the noble knight Giovanbattista Sabatelli (1601 – 1635), of Fossombrone, in the site where there was an old house with dovecotes. His nephew Tiberius (1637 – 1688) added a delightful chapel with a triple arched entrance, rendering even more beautiful the already precious façade, and built the farmhouse with adjacent owners house and Neviera. With the death of Innocent (1657 – 89), after a lengthy court battle, Palazzina Sabatelli passed over to the noble Sorbolonghi family. From this date on, the villa had always been destined for holidays, until the acquisition by Valle Verde s.r.l., which has taken care of its refurbishment.
This refurbishment became urgent, above all, because of the state of abandon in which Palazzina Sabatelli had been left in recent years. It is a reference point for the surrounding region, but is also subjected to acts of vandalism and depredation.
